About Us The Somerville Educational Foundation was formed in 1998 to provide funds for creative and innovative programs for the students of the Somerville Public schools. The Somerville Educational Foundation is committed to supporting creative and innovative teaching and learning programs in the Somerville schools. The mission is to fund grants presented by the faculty and students for programs that fall outside of the normal budgeting process.
